Still Nothing!!

I am so extremely disappointed.  I still do not have any pics.  I haven't been able to take any!!  The sun is just rising when I leave in the morning, and it is too dark when I get home!  I absolutely cannot stand Eastern Standard Time (EST).  It's just not fair!  Why should I miss out on all the sunshine just because I have to work!  I have even put a light in the coop for the chickens.  I still have to feed them when I get home, but if it's dark the cannot see the food.  Chickens eat by sight, not smell.  If they can't see the food, they can't eat it.  So I put a light for their evening feeding.  And I can't take any pics in the dark.  And this weekend just won't work, either.  I keep thinking I'll take a bunch of pics the weekend, but I can't do that.  I have drill this weekend!  We're leaving early Friday morning to go to Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, NC to go to the M-16 range.  I'm so dreading that.  I do just fine qualifying with my weapon.  But we will be sleeping in tents, eating meal kits and MRE's, and using make-shift showers.  Not my idea of fun.  I guess I'll have to light a fire under Mike and get him to take some pics.  "Sigh!"

I like this time of year but I do not like getting off at near dark and I can't take Buddy out back if it's dark. I can't see a thing out back after 5:30. Glad you put up lights for the chickens. I didn't know that they eat by site. Hope your weekend will be a good one even if you are eating MRE's.

I'm so sorry about your weekend. Just keep your head down and check you sleeping bag before you jump into it. A friend just got back from Georgia and something bit him in his sleeping bag one night. He is in serious trouble. They think it was a brown recluse spider. The flesh on his leg is waisted and he's got a horrible infection. Be careful!
See, there are worse things than standard time zones.

its the same here, our evening is longer now. it gets dark at 5:30 while during the summer the sun still shines at 6:30. the only difference is we do not have to adjust our clock. our time remains the same all year round.

Camping? No. Doesn't sound like fun at all. Hope your weekend speeds by. Lucky chickens to have a light. Take care.
