Photo Tag

I got tagged by Becca @ A Southern Garden by Becca. I gotta pic a photo to display and share the story behind it.  The deal is, you gotta pic the 10th photo from your first set (or closest thing, thereof).  So, here's what I got!
My sister gave me this camera last year.  She had asked if I could come over and help her with some spring cleaning.  She gave me this very nice camera while I was there.  She had gotten a new one.  Of course, there were a few pictures still on the camera, and I saved them for her.  A possum had been getting into their garbage, so my then 11 year old nephew set a trap!  And voila!  This is the little critter he caught!  I don't know the whereabouts of the possum, but being animal lovers, I'm sure they took him somewhere and let him go.

I have to tag five other people, so here goes:

Anna @ Chickens In The Basement
Odette @ A View From Above
Mal @ Hoe Hen Inn
Missy @ Little Messy Missy
Aerelonian @ Plant Zone

Of course, I understand that some people just don't like to participate in these sorts of things, and that's okay, too.  But I'm sure you'll peak the curiosity of others!  Have fun and have a great day!!

Thanks for the mention! I've been tagged and given an award today. I think I'll just do a post at some point mentioning my favourite blogs. Every time I come here and see those chickens I get super jealous. I really need to get a job and move to a city where I can keep them!

Those possums are pesky things! I haven't seen one running around for a while now. The last time I saw one was when a friends 4 year old came to tell me about the big mouse eating the cat food outside.:-)--Randy

At first I thought the critter was behind a vent. I didn't recognize the trap. Neat photo.

We caught a possum in a trap just like that and took him to a forested area...but he smelled so vile...and we don't have a pickup, so we had to endure the smell.

Dear Randy and Mike, It seems to me that you have a wonderfully generous family since every time I read a posting you have been showered with another gift. First the rug, now a camera. How lovely.

Not so the possum. Is it the same animal as a skunk? We do not use the word possum in England so I am a little unsure. Skunks certainly have an unpleasant smell.

Thank you for writing on my latest posting where I have left a reply.

P.S. Is your chicken in your header facing the opposite way from previously? Or am I seeing things?

That's a fun 'tag' game! Love the possum photo. I wonder if I should post traps around my barn but am afraid of catching my CATS!

DEAR RANDY AND MIKE,
HELLO CHICKEN BOYS...I LOVE YOUR NEW BLOG HEADER...AT FIRST I THOUGHT YOU WERE PUTTING OUT A MAGAZINE.
I'M SORRY I HAVEN'T BEEN BY IN A WHILE....MY SIL WHO WAS MARRIED TO MY HALF BROTHER DROPPED OVER DEAD....SHE WAS CHRONICALLY ILL BUT NOONE KNEW SHE WAS SERIOUS......THEY WERE ESTRANGED BY THE FAMILY FOR THEIR OWN REASONS BUT I HAD TALKED TO CAROLE ON THE PHONE THE DAY AMY GRADUATED TO HEAVEN. TUESDAY NIGHT MY BROTHER HAD A HEART ATTACK...MY BABY BROTHER....HE IS 50 YEARS OLD....A SMOKER AND THEY FOUND OUT HE IS A DIABETIC.......THE HEART SCAN REVEALED HE HAS 3 BLOCKAGES BUT THEY ARE IN THE SMALL VESSELS THAT CAN'T BE STINTED....SO THEY ARE PUTTING HIM ON 100'S OF MEDS, AND IF HE DOESN'T STOP SMOKING HE WILL PROBABLY NEED BY PASS SURGERY IN 2 YEARS OR HE WILL DIE FROM A HEART ATTACK.
IN 3 MONTHS, LEILA'S (AMY'S FRIEND THAT HAD CANCER TOO)
1 CM "SCAR TISSUE" AREA THEY SAID WAS HAS GROWN TO A FOOTBALL SIZE TUMOR THAT THEY CAN GIVE HER NO CHEMO, NO RADIATION....JUST AN EXPERIMENTAL SHOT THAT WON'T DESTROY THE CANCER BUT IT WILL MAINTAIN IT AT THAT SIZE UNTIL SHE DIES OR THEY FIND SOMETHING ELSE. WE WILL BE TAKING HER FOR SOME OF HER TREATMENTS AS HER MOTHER AND DAD ARE IN POOR HEALTH AND HER HUSBAND MUST NOT MISS WORK.
IF A PERSON HAS THEIR HEALTH AND THEIR NAME IS NOT TIGER WOODS, THINGS ARE PRETTY GOOD...LOL
I ALWAYS LOVE TO COME HERE AND SEE THE CHICKENS AND ALL THE ANIMALS. I THINK OF BLACK KITTY ALSO.
oh, you can come to my house and do a little spring cleaning if you want...lol

Hey - you did it. I love this kind of meme. This one is fun.

Love the photo and the story. I hate those pesky animals. While walking little Buddy a few nights a go I saw one crossing the road right in front of me. Buddy got all excited and wanted to go after it but I kept him taut on the leash.
