1st Runner Up Still Wins!!

I really had no doubt that Joanna was going to claim her prize.  My few followers are pretty faithful followers.  They don't all comment on every post, but I suspect they are like me.  I try to read every blog in my side bar and every post they post.  Yeah, I miss one or two occasionally.  But I still try to read them.  But I don't comment on every one I read.  I mean, that's a lot of daily reading, and I enjoy it, but I don't think I'd have the time to comment on every one as well.  And so, Joanna did pop in and claim what was rightfully hers.

Now, here is the strange part.  I picked a runner up for a "just-in-case" moment.  Let's face it, that happens!  But since Joanna claimed her prize and the runner up got stuck out, I've decided to offer a prize to the runner up anyway.  I don't know what it is yet, and I'm not sending it right away.  I've decided that when I reach 50 followers (and I'm only TWO away!) then I will send a parcel to the runner up.  But I'm not sure everyone would believe who the runner up is!  I honestly couldn't believe it.  Really, I couldn't!  This person made it clear that he never wins.  And he was quite upset that he didn't win this time, either.  But, strangely enough, I reached in that bowl yesterday, pulled out a second name, and there it was.  John @ Going Gently was my runner up.  So, if he wants a rush on his prize, whatever it may be, he'd be wise to convince a couple of people to follow my little blog!  No lie!  He really was the second name I pulled!  So, a big congrats to John and Joanna!
The clouds over our house...just a pic for fun!

Wait...Joanna and John? You're telling me this is a coincidence and not some sort of favoritism for the letter J? But seriously, congratulations to both of them, particularly John, because its about time he won something.

Dear Randy and Mike, What fun all of this has been. I have been thoroughly entertained by the competition and heartfelt congratulations to your winners, J and J.

I am sure you will soon pass the 50 'Follower' milestone and then be on course for 100. Good luck!

Congrats to John too. I love reading your blog and I'm sure you will have 50 followers in no time. You write a lot of fun stuff. Yours is one of my favorites. OK.

Let me begin by elbowing John Gray out of the way and stepping up to the podium, is this microphone working? Can y'all hear me way in the back? My opponent has claimed that Randy and I are related and that the whole thing was a fix. The British have always been such sore losers, remember 1776?

I want to thank everyone who has supported me along the way from Mrs. Dickinson who taught me how to write the alphabet letters, to Mrs. Pechal who taught the typing class. I know I skipped class a few times Mrs. Pechal and you said I wasn't applying myself but you gave me a passing grade anyway. Now look at where I am today, standing before the whole blogging community, being honored by the Chicken Boys with some of their homemade salsa. I doubt John Gray even knows what salsa is, those Brits like such things as kidney pie for heaven sakes.

This is better than a soap opera! What's next?

Cat

(Ok, this is interesting, my word verification is "squall", and it's raining and blowing outside. Who knew the weatherman had anything to do with my computer?)

ROFL LAMO!! Too funny! Imagine if we could all meet in some bloggers cafe'. Maybe in New York or Paris...We'd have so much fun, wouldn't we?!

But you said you DON'T like Paris!
Anyway, I sort of like the idea of meeting at a big picnic table with a red and white table cloth in the middle of a wheat field...with chickens.
